BBC Studios and CosmoBlue Media have extended their strategic collaboration with the launch of the COSMO EN channel and BBC Player in Turkey, marking the first phase of a wider regional rollout.
COSMO EN is now available via major Turkish platforms including D-Smart, Tivibu, beIN and Kablo TV, while BBC Player has been introduced on the COSMO GO app. Additional distribution agreements are expected as the partners continue to expand availability.
The agreement also signals the start of a broader push into the Middle East and North Africa, where both companies plan to introduce their full portfolio of services in the coming stages.
The COSMO EN channel will feature a curated selection of BBC Studios content across genres such as drama, factual programming, natural history and children’s entertainment, including titles like Planet Earth, Top Gear and Luther. Meanwhile, BBC Player will provide COSMO GO Extra subscribers with access to more than 1,000 hours of on-demand programming, with further content planned as the service develops.
Beyond these launches, CosmoBlue Media will support the distribution of additional BBC Studios channels, including BBC First, BBC Earth and CBeebies, across Turkey and the wider MENA region, as part of efforts to strengthen the reach of British programming in these markets.
