Sky Sports and streaming platform NOW have signed a multi-year agreement with Most Valuable Promotions to become the UK and Ireland home of MVPW, a new global platform dedicated to women’s boxing.
Under the deal, Sky Sports will exclusively broadcast two all-female MVPW events annually in the UK, starting with the inaugural MVPW-01 event at London’s Olympia on April 5. The opening card will feature a series of world championship bouts, including a headline clash between British fighters Caroline Dubois and Terri Harper for the unified lightweight titles. A second main event will see Ellie Scotney face Mexico’s Mayelli Flores for the undisputed super bantamweight championship.
In addition to UK-based events, Sky Sports will also air selected US fight nights from the MVPW series. These include MVPW-02, scheduled for April 17 at Madison Square Garden in New York, where Alycia Baumgardner is set to defend her titles against South Korea’s Bo Mi Re Shin. The card will also feature a super middleweight title defence by Shadasia Green against Lani Daniels.
The partnership reflects Sky Sports’ continued investment in women’s sport, as the broadcaster looks to expand its portfolio with premium boxing content. For MVP, the deal provides a major distribution platform in key markets, supporting its ambition to grow the visibility and commercial appeal of women’s boxing worldwide.
