Banijay Group and RedBird IMI have agreed to combine Banijay Entertainment and All3Media in a strategic partnership that will create a larger production powerhouse operating under the Banijay name. Both shareholders will hold equal stakes of 50% in the newly formed entity.
The combined company will oversee a vast content catalogue, including well-known titles such as The Traitors, Big Brother, Survivor, and Peaky Blinders, along with numerous scripted, unscripted and live productions. Altogether, the group will control more than 260,000 hours of programming and dozens of formats produced across multiple territories. Banijay Group will continue to consolidate the financial results of the new company.
Once the transaction is completed, Marco Bassetti, currently CEO of Banijay Entertainment, will lead the merged group as CEO, while Jane Turton, CEO of All3Media, will take on the role of Deputy CEO. Jeff Zucker, CEO of RedBird IMI, will become chairman of the board.
The deal remains subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the autumn. The companies anticipate generating around €50 million in cost synergies, with the full impact expected within 12 months of completion. The transaction also involves RedBird IMI rolling its entire stake in All3Media into the combined company, reinforcing the long-term partnership between the two groups as they aim to strengthen their position in the global content production market.
