Apple is expanding the scope of iCloud+ by adding access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade to the subscription, bringing cloud storage, streaming entertainment and gaming together under a single service. The new benefits will be included without an additional charge for eligible iCloud+ subscribers.
The expanded package is scheduled to roll out across more than 100 countries and regions by the end of September 2026. Subscribers will continue to use iCloud for storing, backing up and sharing personal content across Apple devices while gaining access to Apple’s streaming catalogue and hundreds of games through Apple Arcade.
The move also significantly increases the international footprint of Apple TV. As part of the rollout, the streaming service will enter 59 additional countries, including India, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates. This will take Apple TV’s overall availability to 170 countries worldwide.
Apple is also extending the bundled benefits through Family Sharing. An iCloud+ subscription can be shared with as many as five family members, allowing multiple users to access the wider combination of cloud, entertainment and gaming services through the same subscription.
The integration represents a notable shift in how Apple packages its services. Rather than positioning iCloud+ primarily around storage and privacy features, the company is broadening its proposition by incorporating two of its major entertainment businesses into the subscription.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services and Health, positioned the move around convenience, bringing storage, original entertainment and gaming together for iCloud+ customers within one subscription.
For Apple TV in particular, the strategy provides another substantial distribution channel while simultaneously opening dozens of new international markets. It also reinforces the wider industry trend toward service aggregation, where entertainment, technology and other digital services are increasingly packaged together to strengthen the value of a subscription.
