BBC Studios and Polsat have expanded their relationship with a major catalogue agreement bringing more than 200 hours of programming to Polish audiences across Polsat’s Free TV and Basic TV channels.
The agreement represents the largest content sales package BBC Studios has concluded in Poland to date, covering a mix of drama, factual and entertainment programming from the company’s extensive international catalogue.
Among the titles included are earlier seasons of popular British dramas Death in Paradise and Father Brown. The factual selection includes programmes such as Atlantic: Wildest Ocean on Earth, David Attenborough’s Natural Curiosities, The Vikings Uncovered and Natural World: Return of the Giant Killers.
The agreement will complement BBC Studios’ existing presence in Poland. New seasons of Death in Paradise and Father Brown will continue to premiere exclusively on BBC First, which is distributed across major Polish platforms including Polsat Box.
The companies have also renewed their partnership around Dancing With The Stars, ensuring that Polsat remains the Polish home of the international entertainment format. Season 19 premiered in September and currently ranks as Poland’s number-one entertainment programme.
BBC Studios said the agreements demonstrate the continued appeal of its international content portfolio while strengthening its long-standing relationship with Polsat. The combination of catalogue sales, premium channel distribution and locally produced formats gives the company multiple routes to reach Polish viewers.
The expanded partnership comes ahead of MIPCOM 2026, reinforcing Poland’s importance as a market for BBC Studios’ content distribution and global formats business.
