VIDAA Deepens European Expansion with Three-Year Tesla Smart TV Deal

0

V, the company behind the VIDAA Smart TV operating system, has signed a three-year strategic partnership with European consumer electronics brand Tesla as it looks to expand VIDAA’s presence across Western and Eastern Europe.

Under the agreement, Tesla will progressively migrate its Smart TV portfolio to VIDAA OS, with the partners ultimately targeting the platform across 100% of Tesla’s Smart TV range in the region and potentially additional markets. The rollout will cover entry-level, mid-range and premium television models.

The partnership combines Tesla’s established retail distribution and European market presence with VIDAA’s connected-TV ecosystem, which brings together streaming applications, live programming, FAST channels and on-demand services within a unified interface. Additional VIDAA-powered Tesla TVs are expected to begin rolling out immediately in participating markets.

Europe will be a central focus of the collaboration. The companies highlighted Greece as one market where both brands already have a significant presence and are expanding through relationships with major retailers. The wider objective is to use the partnership to accelerate their development across several strategic European territories.

For VIDAA, the agreement also strengthens its strategy of working with third-party television manufacturers rather than limiting the operating system to a single hardware ecosystem. V provides OEM partners with access not only to the TV platform itself but also to its content partnerships, advertising and monetisation capabilities and international scale.

The company points to recent data from Omdia as evidence of that momentum, saying VIDAA recorded the largest unit growth among global Smart TV platforms between 2023 and 2025. Partnerships with additional hardware manufacturers are becoming an increasingly important part of its international expansion.

For Tesla, meanwhile, adopting VIDAA across its television portfolio provides a common Smart TV environment across multiple product tiers. The agreement is intended to support the brand’s broader ambitions in Europe while giving consumers a consistent connected-TV experience across its range.
