0

Titan OS has entered into a new distribution agreement with PLAION Pictures, bringing a selection of free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels to connected TV audiences across 42 European territories.

The partnership expands the Barcelona-based technology company’s entertainment portfolio with film, music and seasonal programming from the independent European distributor. The new channels are available on Titan OS-powered smart TVs from Philips, JVC and Sharp, as well as selected Sony Android devices offering Titan Channels.

The rollout covers major European markets, including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Poland, alongside the Nordic countries and other territories. The agreement strengthens Titan OS’s position in the European connected TV ecosystem while extending PLAION Pictures’ digital distribution footprint.

Among the channels joining the platform is Moviedome, which offers a selection of international films. Recent additions to its catalogue include Morning Glory, starring Rachel McAdams, The Lovely Bones, featuring Saoirse Ronan, The Score, starring Robert De Niro, and Body of Evidence, featuring Madonna.

Music enthusiasts will also gain access to Metal.Rocks, a channel dedicated to rock music videos and inspired by the music-focused television experience associated with MTV’s earlier years. The lineup additionally includes Weihnachtskino, a seasonal entertainment channel featuring festive films.

Rick Fens, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Titan OS, emphasised the company’s commitment to improving content discovery and providing viewers with a diverse selection of local and international entertainment. He highlighted the value of the partnership in bringing established film titles and specialised programming directly to European households.

Hauk Markus, Director of FAST/AVOD Business at PLAION Pictures, described the agreement as a strategic expansion of the company’s streaming activities. As the European FAST sector continues to develop, distribution through Titan OS offers PLAION an additional opportunity to connect its channels with audiences using connected televisions.

The partnership also complements PLAION Pictures’ existing digital activities, which include Amazon subscription channels and a portfolio of feature-film channels distributed through YouTube.

For Titan OS, the agreement represents another addition to its expanding network of content partnerships. By integrating more free entertainment directly into its smart TV ecosystem, the company is seeking to improve viewer choice while creating additional opportunities for content owners to reach audiences through advertising-supported distribution.
