Deutsche Telekom has added HBO Max to its MagentaTV platform in Germany, expanding its streaming aggregation offer with programming from HBO, Warner Bros., DC and Discovery.

HBO Max, which launched in Germany in January 2026, can now be subscribed to directly through MagentaTV. Customers have six booking options, covering both monthly subscriptions and 12-month commitments, with Deutsche Telekom offering a price advantage for customers choosing an annual plan.

The integration reinforces Deutsche Telekom’s strategy of positioning MagentaTV as a central destination for television and streaming services. The platform currently combines streaming applications with as many as 180 linear TV channels, more than 160 of which are available in HD.

HBO Max brings a substantial premium entertainment catalogue to the platform, including franchises and series such as Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, The White Lotus and Dune: Prophecy.

Warner Bros. Discovery is also strengthening HBO Max’s local German proposition. 4 Blocks ZERO, a prequel to 4 Blocks, premieres on September 25, while the upcoming Harry Potter series is expected around Christmas.

Arnim Butzen, Head of TV at Deutsche Telekom, described HBO Max as a major addition to MagentaTV’s content proposition. Matthias Heinze, SVP Commercial at Warner Bros. Discovery GSA, said the partnership combines MagentaTV’s reach and user experience with HBO Max’s premium entertainment portfolio.

The agreement reflects the continuing role of telecom operators as streaming aggregators, bringing multiple entertainment subscriptions into a single television environment while simplifying access and billing for customers.
