Titan OS Expands Its Finnish Streaming Line-Up with MTV Katsomo

0

Titan OS is strengthening its presence in Finland through a new partnership with MTV Oy, bringing the MTV Katsomo streaming service directly to smart TVs powered by its operating system.

The app will be available across compatible Philips and Sharp smart TVs, giving Finnish viewers direct access to MTV Katsomo’s mix of entertainment, local programming, news and live sports.

Among the content available are popular Finnish entertainment formats including Tanssii Tähtien Kanssa, Pirunpeli and Big Brother. Sports will also play a prominent role, with Liiga, Finland’s top ice hockey league, among the key live offerings.

The integration goes beyond simply making the app available. MTV Katsomo will receive prominent placement on the Titan OS Home Page, while its programming will also be incorporated into the platform’s native search functionality, Sports Hub and personalised recommendation rails.

For Titan OS, the partnership supports its strategy of combining international streaming services with strong local content in individual European markets. Rick Fens, SVP Business Development at Titan OS, said the addition would create a richer and more personalised smart TV experience for Finnish audiences.

MTV also sees the integration as another way of making its programming easier to access across Finland. Markus Illukka, VP Commercial at MTV, highlighted the importance of ensuring viewers can reach MTV Katsomo content seamlessly across different devices and viewing environments.

The agreement further strengthens Titan OS as a content discovery and aggregation platform, using deeper service integration to help viewers navigate local entertainment, news and live sports directly from the television interface.
