CNN Expands All Access Streaming Service to UK and Canada

0

CNN is taking its All Access subscription service international, with launches scheduled for October 20, 2026, in the United Kingdom and Canada. The expansion marks the first overseas rollout of the news broadcaster’s direct-to-consumer offering, bringing live television, on-demand programming and digital journalism together under a single subscription.

The service will provide access to a selection of live channels from CNN’s US and international portfolios, alongside exclusive programming, CNN Original Series and CNN Films. Subscribers will also receive unlimited access to articles, audio and video across CNN’s website and app, including premium reporting and subscriber-only features.

In the UK, CNN All Access will cost £4.99 per month or £49.99 annually, while Canadian customers will pay C$7.99 monthly or C$79.99 per year. To encourage early adoption, CNN is introducing discounted first-year annual subscriptions priced at £37.99 in the UK and C$59.99 in Canada.

The subscription will be accessible through the web and selected mobile and connected TV applications, allowing users to move between live news coverage and on-demand content across different devices.

Existing customers will also benefit from integration with CNN’s established distribution arrangements. Eligible Canadian pay-TV subscribers will be able to access the video service using their television provider credentials at no additional charge, while current CNN Live subscribers in the UK will automatically transition to the All Access offering.

Alex MacCallum, Chief Operating Officer of CNN Worldwide, highlighted the importance of the expansion to the company’s direct-to-consumer strategy. Following the service’s reception in the United States, CNN identified the UK and Canada as priority international markets for bringing its live news and digital reporting together in one destination.

CNN has confirmed plans to introduce All Access in additional international markets, although further launch territories and dates have not yet been announced. The expansion reflects the broadcaster’s efforts to develop a more direct relationship with audiences while complementing its existing pay-TV distribution business.
