Video technology company Synamedia and systems integrator MoMe have launched a streaming-optimised CDN service in Spain based on Synamedia’s Fluid EdgeCDN technology.
The new platform is designed to deliver low-latency video while giving broadcasters and media companies greater control over content distribution. It also provides monitoring tools that help operators track network performance and viewer experience, along with enterprise-level reliability and security.
The infrastructure relies on edge locations positioned close to end users to improve speed and stability. Fluid EdgeCDN has already been deployed across eight data centres in Spain and is integrated directly into the streaming workflow, bringing processes such as ingest, encoding and packaging closer to the network edge. The approach also allows content providers to manage delivery through a single provider instead of coordinating multiple vendors.
The service will be offered by MoMe through its subsidiary Argos Technology Services. Outside Spain, the company will support multi-CDN distribution, including integration with Quortex Switch.
Executives from both companies say the initiative responds to increasing demand for more visibility and control in video streaming delivery, and could serve as a model for similar deployments in other European markets.
