Swiss operator Sunrise has expanded its entertainment portfolio by adding both YouTube Premium and HBO Max to its range of bundled services, further strengthening its position as a one-stop destination for digital entertainment.
The move allows Sunrise customers to access two of the world’s most popular subscription platforms through a single provider, combining premium video streaming and ad-free digital content within its broader connectivity and entertainment ecosystem.
The addition reflects a growing trend among telecom operators to evolve beyond traditional connectivity services by integrating premium streaming subscriptions into their offerings. As competition intensifies, bundled entertainment packages are increasingly being used to attract new customers, reduce churn, and increase customer engagement.
For HBO Max, the partnership provides access to Sunrise’s customer base as the streaming platform continues expanding its European footprint. Meanwhile, the inclusion of YouTube Premium highlights the increasing importance of digital video services alongside traditional streaming subscriptions.
The agreement underscores the ongoing convergence of telecommunications, streaming, and digital media, as operators seek to position themselves as central aggregators of entertainment services rather than simply internet providers.
