Disney+ is preparing to introduce an advertising-supported subscription in Poland this November, expanding its ad-funded streaming model into another Central and Eastern European market.
The new Standard with Ads option will join the platform’s existing Standard and Premium subscriptions, giving Polish viewers an additional way to access Disney+ content. Disney has not yet revealed the price of the new package or provided details on how its advertising inventory will be commercialised.
The launch will also open Disney+ to Polish advertisers for the first time, creating new opportunities for brands to reach audiences across the streaming service’s premium entertainment environment.
Kakhaber Abashidze, Country Manager and Senior Vice President Disney+ and Networks for The Walt Disney Company in Central and Eastern Europe, said the introduction of advertising would provide customers with greater choice while giving local advertisers access to Disney+ audiences.
Disney currently charges PLN 34.99 per month for Standard and PLN 59.99 for Premium in Poland. The company first introduced advertising on Disney+ in EMEA in 2023 and has since expanded the model across 15 European markets.
Poland is becoming an increasingly competitive market for ad-supported streaming. HBO Max and SkyShowtime already offer advertising-funded packages, while Netflix is preparing to introduce its own ad-supported option in the country in 2027.
Behind the expansion, Disney has also been developing its European advertising infrastructure, including moving EMEA campaigns onto the Disney Ad Server and building programmatic capabilities through its Disney Real-Time Ad Exchange.
