ZDF Studios is expanding its children’s brand Pash into the pay-TV market for the first time through a new distribution agreement with streaming platform wedotv.
The partnership will see wedotv roll out localised versions of the channel in Central and Eastern Europe, including Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic, alongside an English-language feed targeting regions such as the Middle East and parts of Asia.
Pash offers a catalogue of more than 500 hours of children’s programming, blending animation and live-action titles drawn largely from Germany’s public-service ecosystem, including KiKA. The lineup features series such as Dibidoo, The Muscleteers, Space Nova and H2O – Mermaid Adventures, alongside classic titles like Lassie and Peter Pan.
The move marks a shift for Pash, which has until now focused on VOD distribution across multiple international platforms. ZDF Studios said the expansion into pay-TV will broaden the brand’s global reach, supported by wedotv’s distribution capabilities.
