ITV and Disney deepen partnership with primetime Hulu Originals slot

ITV and The Walt Disney Company have strengthened their UK partnership by introducing a new primetime linear window for Hulu Originals on ITV1. The move expands the content-sharing deal launched in July 2025, which brought curated selections of Disney+ titles to ITVX and ITVX highlights to Disney+.

Under the updated agreement, two Hulu dramas will air on ITV1 in branded slots titled “Disney+ presents a Hulu Original.” Karl Holmes, General Manager for Disney+ EMEA, said the extension would expose Hulu Originals to millions of additional viewers and represents the next phase of the companies’ collaboration.

Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of Media and Entertainment at ITV, said the deal enhances ITV’s primetime schedule with high-quality original storytelling and reinforces the success of the two-way discovery model introduced last year.

The first series, The Stolen Girl, will make its free-to-air UK debut on 25 February. Produced by Quay Street Productions and Brightstar, the drama follows the disappearance of a child after a sleepover and the emotional unraveling that follows.

Later in the year, ITV1 will also broadcast The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, a drama revisiting the internationally scrutinized criminal case and examining themes of media pressure and justice.

The expanded partnership moves the ITV–Disney collaboration beyond streaming integrations, giving Hulu Originals a new high-visibility showcase on free-to-air television.
