Yospace has introduced a new Ad Presentation solution designed to help broadcasters introduce non-linear advertising formats across live streaming, VOD and FAST services. The technology will make its public debut at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam.
Rather than interrupting programming with a traditional commercial break, the solution supports formats that can appear around the content itself. These include pause ads, overlays, squeezebacks and L-banners, reflecting formats currently being standardised through the IAB Tech Lab’s Ad Format Hero initiative.
Yospace says the approach could create additional advertising inventory while opening up more contextual opportunities for brands. Advertisers could, for example, appear alongside relevant moments within a programme, while attribution capabilities can connect exposure to subsequent conversions.
The technology works with both Server-Side Ad Insertion (SSAI) and Server-Guided Ad Insertion (SGAI) and is designed to integrate into broadcasters’ existing streaming infrastructure. Crucially, Yospace says broadcasters can roll out these formats across their device footprint without developing separate implementations for individual devices. Existing Yospace customers can add the capability as a plug-in.
Personalisation is another important part of the proposition. The platform supports one-to-one addressable advertising, including dynamically generated QR codes at device level, giving advertisers a potential route from a TV impression directly to a measurable action or purchase.
Yospace is also using real-time device intelligence to determine what individual players can support before serving an ad format. The aim is to expand advertising possibilities without compromising the viewing experience on devices that cannot properly display a particular format.
The launch reflects a wider shift in streaming monetisation toward advertising experiences that go beyond the conventional pre-roll and mid-roll model, giving broadcasters additional ways to monetise viewing without necessarily stopping the content.
