Netflix and Warner Music Group (WMG) have entered into a multi-year, first-look agreement to develop original documentary content centred on the music company’s artists and songwriters.
Under the deal, Netflix will collaborate with WMG to produce films and series exploring the stories, careers and cultural impact of its roster. Production will be led by Unigram, the company founded by Amanda Ghost and Gregor Cameron, working closely with artists and their estates to develop each project.
The partnership reflects growing demand for music-driven storytelling on streaming platforms, as services look to tap into global fanbases and artist-led narratives.
WMG’s catalogue includes major names such as Charli XCX, Bruno Mars, Madonna and Fred Again, offering a broad pipeline of potential projects for Netflix’s documentary slate.
