CMA Media, already a shareholder since 2023, has completed the full acquisition of social media platform Brut. The deal, first announced in July, confirms that Elsa Darquier will remain CEO of Brut., now reporting to Claire Leost, who has been appointed President. Co-founders Renaud Le Van Kim and Guillaume Lacroix will continue to support the company’s strategic direction as Senior Advisors.

Brut. will strengthen CMA Media’s portfolio with its expertise in social platforms, helping extend the group’s digital reach. The brand currently engages over 500 million viewers every month across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat. With this addition, CMA Media’s annual online and social video views will approach 25 billion.

The move also establishes a new “Social” division within CMA Media, complementing its existing Press and Audiovisual arms. The group already owns BFMTV and RMC, along with the newspapers La Tribune, La Tribune Dimanche, La Provence, and Corse Matin. More recently, it also acquired TV channel Chérie 25 from NRJ Group.
