UK-based producer Little Dot Studios has renewed and broadened its long-term agreement with ZDF Studios to increase the digital distribution and monetisation of ZDF’s factual content.

Under the new multi-year deal, Little Dot Studios will license more than 600 hours of programming from the ZDF Studios catalogue. The content includes German-language titles for German-speaking audiences and English-language productions aimed at the UK and international markets. Distribution will span Little Dot’s YouTube channels, FAST services, its History Hit platform, as well as German streaming platforms waipu.tv and Joyn.

The partnership focuses primarily on factual programming covering topics such as science, engineering, wildlife and historical biographies. Content is already being released across several themed YouTube channels, including Timeline, Spark, Real Wild and Real Royalty, alongside German-language channels such as Real Stories Germany and Timeline Germany. Titles featured in the rollout include documentaries like Great White Shark: Beyond the Cage of Fear, The Trojan Horse: On the Trail of a Myth and the series Women Who Made History.

The companies say the expanded collaboration aims to broaden the global reach of ZDF Studios’ documentary catalogue while supporting its digital growth strategy and connecting its content with wider online audiences.
