German telecommunications provider DNS:NET has partnered with waipu.tv to introduce a new television service, expanding its entertainment offering with a cloud-based IPTV solution.

Through the agreement, DNS:NET customers will gain access to waipu.tv’s extensive portfolio of live television channels, catch-up content and cloud recording features directly alongside their broadband subscription. The move allows the operator to strengthen its bundled services without having to develop its own television platform.

The partnership reflects a growing trend among European internet service providers, which are increasingly turning to established streaming and IPTV platforms to enhance customer value and remain competitive in converged broadband and entertainment markets.

For waipu.tv, the agreement broadens its wholesale footprint by reaching a larger customer base through telecom partnerships. The platform has continued to expand beyond direct-to-consumer subscriptions, positioning itself as a television solution for network operators seeking flexible TV services.

The collaboration highlights the ongoing convergence of broadband and television services, as telecom providers increasingly rely on cloud-based IPTV platforms to deliver premium entertainment experiences while accelerating digital transformation.
