Disney has signed a multi-year agreement to bring Formula E to Disney+ across most international markets, significantly expanding the streaming platform’s live sports offering. The deal will begin with the 2026/27 season.
Disney+ will stream all 21 rounds across 13 Formula E events, alongside practice sessions, qualifying, previews, reviews and race highlights. In the United States, coverage will be shared between Disney+ and ESPN+.
The new season begins in Jeddah on December 18, with races scheduled in cities including Austin, Miami, Mexico City and Monaco before the championship concludes in Tokyo on July 25, 2027.
The agreement represents another major step in Disney+’s move into live sports internationally. The platform already carries selected LaLiga rights in several European markets as well as the UEFA Women’s Champions League across Europe and Latin America.
However, the Formula E agreement will not necessarily be exclusive in every territory. In the UK and Ireland, for example, ITV’s existing agreement continues through the 2026/27 season, with races available on ITV4 and ITVX.
The timing also coincides with the introduction of Formula E’s new GEN4 car, capable of producing up to 600kW — more than 815 horsepower — and accelerating from 0–60mph in approximately 1.8 seconds.
