Telia and SkyShowtime deepen partnership to expand premium offering for Telia TV

Telia and European streaming platform SkyShowtime have strengthened their long-standing collaboration through a new multi-year deal designed to enhance Telia’s TV and streaming proposition. The renewed agreement guarantees a continued breadth of films, series and entertainment for Telia’s TV customers across the country.

Through this extended partnership, Telia reinforces its strategy of developing a high-quality, accessible and sustainable TV service together with leading content partners. Telia viewers will retain access to SkyShowtime’s portfolio, ranging from hit series such as Tulsa King, Yellowstone and Veronika, to family favourites from channels including Nickelodeon, Nick Jr and MTV. From spring 2026, the SkyShowtime offering will reach an even larger share of Telia’s customer base.

“Telia has been a trusted partner for many years, and this renewed agreement reflects the growing value we deliver to our distribution relationships. We’re delighted that even more Telia viewers will now be able to enjoy our extensive slate of premium local and global entertainment,” said Hristina Georgieva, Chief Business Officer at SkyShowtime.

“Our TV customers can rely on us to secure long-term agreements with top-tier content providers. By deepening our cooperation with SkyShowtime, we continue to strengthen and evolve our TV and streaming service with relevant, in-demand programming that reaches an even wider audience,” added Oscar Karlsson, Head of Telia’s Consumer Business.

The partnership plays a key role in Telia’s ambition to unify TV and streaming into a single, simplified service. In a TV landscape that is becoming increasingly fragmented, the collaboration allows Telia customers to enjoy popular content without needing to subscribe to multiple separate services.

“Today, content and rights are spread across a number of players, creating a complex market for viewers. By bringing together leading streaming platforms and traditional TV in one place, we make the viewing experience both simpler and more cost-effective for our customers,” Karlsson concluded.
