Crunchyroll, the leading global anime streaming service, is now available on Whale TV-powered smart TVs, adding one of the world’s most popular anime destinations to the TV OS provider’s expanding ecosystem.

The Crunchyroll app can now be downloaded directly from the Whale TV app store, allowing users to easily install it on their home screen. New viewers can sign up for a free trial, while existing subscribers can simply log in to access their accounts and stream instantly through any Whale TV-enabled device.

With more than 17 million paid subscribers worldwide, Crunchyroll brings an extensive library of hit titles to the platform — including fan favourites like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, SPY x FAMILY, One Piece, and Attack on Titan.

Lucas Huang, Vice President of Content Distribution at Whale TV, said the addition of Crunchyroll offers anime fans “another great way to experience their favourite stories on the big screen” as anime continues its rise from a niche passion to a global mainstream phenomenon.

Whale TV, which operates as an independent smart TV operating system, partners with over 400 television brands and powers more than 44 million monthly active TVs across multiple markets. Positioned as a neutral and open platform, Whale TV aims to connect hardware manufacturers, content providers, and advertisers, curating a growing catalogue that spans entertainment genres, apps, and viewing formats.

The partnership marks another milestone in Whale TV’s strategy to enrich its global content offering, while giving Crunchyroll a broader reach on connected TVs — bringing its vibrant anime universe to millions of new households worldwide.
