Warner Bros. Discovery to take TLC Free-to-Air in the UK and Ireland from 2026

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is giving its UK entertainment portfolio a major refresh, announcing that TLC will transition to a free-to-air (FTA) channel in the UK and Ireland from January 2026. The move marks one of WBD’s most ambitious FTA expansions to date, aiming to bring a wider mix of scripted and unscripted entertainment to audiences without subscription barriers.

The relaunched TLC will anchor WBD’s entertainment slate with a strong line-up of scripted favourites including The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, and Mike & Molly. These acquisitions represent WBD’s largest scripted investment to date across its UK FTA network.

In addition to high-profile comedies, TLC will also introduce a new slate of original unscripted formats. Among them are Mock the Week, the iconic satirical panel show returning with a new production team at Angst, and Zero Stars, a travel-based comedy format created by CPL Productions in collaboration with Danish outfit Liquidminds and distributed by Primitives. The series will follow comedians Roisin Conaty and Sara Pascoe as they explore destinations known for their hilariously bad reviews.

Alongside the new additions, TLC will continue to feature fan-favourite factual franchises such as Dr. Pimple Popper, My 600lb Life, and the ever-popular 90 Day Fiancé universe, including its local UK adaptation.
