Sky Deutschland has expanded its collaboration with Amazon by introducing WOW Filme & Serien as a new channel available directly through Prime Video in Germany.

This development builds on the earlier inclusion of WOW Live-Sport, further deepening Sky’s integration into Amazon’s streaming ecosystem.

Effective immediately, Prime Video users can subscribe to WOW Filme & Serien as an add-on within the Prime Video app. Customers can complete the subscription process and billing directly through their Amazon account, with no need for a separate WOW app, extra registration, or even a Prime membership—making for a frictionless viewing experience within the Prime Video interface.

The new channel grants users access to a wide library of recent film releases and high-profile series from major studios and content providers such as NBCUniversal, Sony, HBO, and Sky Originals. Highlights from the catalogue include blockbuster titles like Wicked and Gladiator II, as well as hit series such as The Rookie, House of the Dragon, and The Day of the Jackal. Other notable titles include Yeliz & Jimi – We Are Family?!, Rudi Völler – Es gibt nur einen, Watson, and IT: Welcome to Derry.

“The addition of WOW Filme & Serien as a Prime Video channel offers Amazon customers easy access to our rich and varied entertainment library,” said Evelyn Rothblum, Chief Transformation Officer at Sky Deutschland. “From acclaimed dramas and documentaries to the latest blockbusters and fan-favorite reality formats, the content is available at their fingertips anytime.”

Elisabetta Carruba, Director of Content Partners EMEA at Prime Video, also emphasized the value of the collaboration:“This partnership simplifies access to premium Sky content. By keeping everything within Prime Video, we’re offering customers the convenience they expect—with no extra apps or sign-ups.”
