Mediterranean-themed FAST channel MED.TV, operated by Med Media Services, is now available on Rakuten TV across 43 European markets, significantly expanding its international footprint.
Launched in 2025, MED.TV offers a curated slate of programming that highlights Mediterranean culture and lifestyle. Its line-up includes travel series such as Into the Med, documentaries like Mediterraneo and Signorie, culinary shows including Mediterranean Kitchen and Gold Cuisine, feature films, classical music and opera performances, as well as business and current-affairs formats such as Med Leaders.
Manolo Mantovani, COO of Med Media Services, said the Rakuten TV launch marks a major step in scaling the channel across Europe and supports ongoing investment in original and localised content. He noted that gaining distribution so widely, so soon after the channel’s debut, validates the company’s strategy and editorial direction.
Rakuten TV’s Chief Content Officer, Marcos Milanez, said MED.TV’s focus on Mediterranean culture enriches the platform’s FAST offering and meets growing audience interest in diverse and high-quality programming.
