HBO Max will debut in the UK and Ireland on 26 March, offering a unified streaming platform that includes content from HBO, Warner Bros., DC Studios and Max Originals. This marks the first time viewers in these markets can access the full HBO Max service directly, rather than through partners such as Sky, which remains a launch distributor.
The platform will also become the new streaming home of TNT Sports, giving subscribers access to live Premier League, UEFA competitions, rugby, UFC, MotoGP and more. Discovery+ will continue carrying TNT Sports until the transition date.
Executives from Warner Bros. Discovery described the launch as a milestone, bringing blockbuster films, hit series and live sport together in one destination. At launch, viewers will find major titles such as Euphoria, House of the Dragon, Succession, Friends, The Sopranos, Game of Thrones and full franchises including Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Dune. New projects, including the upcoming Harry Potter series and DC’s Lanterns, will also stream exclusively on HBO Max.
The service will be available via hbomax.com, Sky, Prime Video and most major devices, with UK plans starting at £4.99 (Basic with Ads) and rising to £14.99 for the Premium tier. In Ireland, pricing ranges from €5.99 to €15.99. Users can create up to five profiles and download content depending on their plan.
This rollout completes HBO Max’s European expansion and signals Warner Bros. Discovery’s shift toward a consolidated entertainment and sports streaming strategy.
