Freely expands channel line-up with new partners

Everyone TV has announced a fresh wave of partnerships for Freely, the free streaming platform backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. Revealed at MIPCOM in Cannes, the expansion will see 10 new streaming channels join the service in 2026, including Blaze, Bloomberg TV+, Talking Pictures TV, Gemporia and Local TV. Existing partner AMC Networks International UK will also add five new channels to its portfolio, featuring titles such as True Crime UK, Bloodline Detectives and AMC Reality.

This follows Channel 4’s recent addition of 4Reality, 4Homes and 4Life — exclusive to Freely — with ITV and Channel 5 expected to introduce further channels soon. With these updates, Freely will offer over 70 live channels via Wi-Fi, alongside one of the UK’s largest free on-demand libraries. The platform, already surpassing 500,000 weekly users, is available on major smart TV brands and is forecast to become the UK’s leading TV device platform within five years.

New audience research from Oliver & Ohlbaum Associates highlights the enduring appeal of free-to-air viewing, showing that channels like Legend and Blaze are most associated with feelings of relaxation and entertainment. Jonathan Thompson, CEO of Everyone TV, said the findings reinforce the importance of British free-to-air content: “Freely brings together the best of live and on-demand TV, all in one place — and the momentum keeps building.”
