FilmBox+ continues A1 expansion with launches in Bulgaria and Serbia

0

SPI International is expanding the reach of its streaming service FilmBox+ in Southeast Europe, rolling out the platform in Bulgaria and Serbia through telecom operator A1. The move builds on FilmBox+’s presence in Poland, Hungary and Romania, with North Macedonia set to follow in March and Slovenia and Croatia slated for later this year.

The expansion forms part of a wider agreement signed with A1 Group in 2025, covering distribution of SPI’s linear channels and its SVOD offering across several A1 markets.

Erwan Luherne, Managing Director at SPI International, said the collaboration demonstrates the company’s commitment to broadening access to premium entertainment. He noted that FilmBox+ aims to provide a seamless, high-quality streaming experience supported by a diverse content catalogue.

FilmBox+ enhances SPI’s linear portfolio—such as FilmBox and DIZI—with a library that includes films, documentaries, Korean series and Turkish dramas tailored for local audiences. The service is available via web, smart TVs and mobile apps, and offers up to five user profiles, streaming on three devices simultaneously, and parental controls.
