Big Blue Marble, the newly established international media technology brand of Austria’s ORS Group, has selected 3 Screen Solutions (3SS) and SEI Robotics as key partners for its new TV-as-a-Service (TVaaS) platform. The initiative aims to empower mid-sized cable and OTT operators worldwide with a turnkey, cloud-based video solution that combines flexible design, robust performance, and a premium user experience.
Under the collaboration, 3SS will deliver a custom Android TV launcher and multiscreen applications for Android TV, Samsung, and LG smart TVs, all built on its proven 3Ready Framework. Meanwhile, SEI Robotics will provide the hardware foundation with its latest Android TV-based set-top box, forming the core of Big Blue Marble’s managed, end-to-end service.
The Big Blue Marble TVaaS platform has been designed to address the needs of Tier 2 and Tier 3 operators, helping them launch competitive, full-featured video services without the heavy infrastructure investment typically required for bespoke solutions. Following ORS Group’s acquisition of Polish video specialist Insys VT, the technology behind the platform was further developed through close collaboration with 3SS and SEI Robotics to ensure scalability, design flexibility, and a consistent viewing experience across devices.
