Paramount Global is set to wind down BET+ later this year, integrating the service’s content library into Paramount+ as part of a broader consolidation strategy. The move follows Paramount Skydance’s acquisition of Tyler Perry Studios’ stake in BET+, removing a key barrier to the platform’s integration.
In an internal memo, BET Networks president Louis Carr said the shift aims to expand the reach of BET’s content and storytelling. From June, Paramount+ will serve as the primary home for BET+ programming, which will be featured a dedicated BET Hub on the platform.
Carr noted that BET’s linear channel, along with BET Digital and BET Studios, will continue operating independently despite the streaming transition.
The BET+ catalogue — including titles such as Zatima, The Ms. Pat Show, Diarra From Detroit and All the Queen’s Men — will be migrated to Paramount+ as part of the integration.
