Canadian media company Stingray has broadened its international footprint by bringing a new lineup of FAST channels to Whale TV+, the free streaming service from smart TV OS provider Whale TV.
The selection covers nature, wellness, ambient visuals, art and music, with channels such as Naturescape, ZenLIFE, Stargaze, Cityscapes, Cozy Café, Movie Music, Loupe Art, and EarthDay 365. Stingray has also added audio-based channels including The Spa, Smooth Jazz, Easy Listening, and Remember the 80s, offering viewers a blend of relaxation, mood-setting soundscapes and nostalgia.
The channels are now accessible across Western Europe and Latin America on Whale TV-powered smart TVs, as well as via the platform’s web, Android, Google TV and Fire TV apps.
David Purdy, Chief Revenue Officer at Stingray, said the deal enables the company to reach new audiences while strengthening its position in the FAST ecosystem. Teresa Lopez, Vice-President of Whale TV+, highlighted strong user growth over the past year and said the addition of Stingray’s channels enhances the service’s content offering.
Stingray, based in Montreal, distributes curated audio and video content to hundreds of millions of users each month across TVs, mobile devices, smart speakers and vehicles. Whale TV, headquartered in Singapore, provides its operating system to more than 46 million active TVs globally through brand partners such as Aiwa, Blaupunkt, JVC, Philips and Sharp.
