Telenet has introduced direct integration of YouTube Premium into its TV ecosystem, becoming the first operator in Belgium to embed the paid streaming service within its entertainment portfolio.
Customers can now subscribe to YouTube Premium (Individual plan) for €13.99 per month as an add-on to their existing Telenet package, with charges consolidated into a single monthly bill through the operator.
The subscription provides ad-free viewing on YouTube, background playback and offline downloads, along with access to YouTube Music’s ad-free catalogue. Users can activate, adjust or cancel the service via the MyTelenet app or web portal, while accessing content through the standard YouTube app without requiring additional downloads.
Through the Telenet TV box, subscribers can open YouTube directly from the operator’s interface, while keeping all subscription management and payments centralised within the Telenet environment.
Vincent Stevens, VP Premium Entertainment at Telenet, described the move as a step forward in simplifying the user experience, noting YouTube’s popularity on the platform. The integration forms part of Telenet’s wider strategy to bundle third-party streaming services under one interface, offering unified billing and streamlined customer support.
