wedotv, the free, ad-supported OTT network specializing in sports and entertainment, has broadened its collaboration with LG Channels, extending its FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) Channels to new international territories including the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Asia, and Latin America.
This global expansion builds on the companies’ established partnership in Europe, where wedotv content has been available on LG smart TVs since 2023.
As part of the rollout, six themed channels are being launched across various regions: wedotv movies, wedotv sports, wedotv cars, wedotv BIG stories, wedotv: Piel Salvaje and wedotv Get.Factual
Each launch has been tailored to suit local audiences through region-specific channel selections and localized subtitle options.
In the United Arab Emirates, viewers can now access wedotv BIG stories and wedotv sports, along with two region-customized channels: wedotv cars and wedotv Get.Factual, all available with Arabic subtitles.
In Asia, LG TV users in Singapore and Taiwan will soon be able to watch wedotv movies and wedotv sports, complete with English, Malay, and neutral Chinese subtitle options. These will roll out by the end of the year.
For Latin American audiences — including Brazil — wedotv amor: Piel Salvaje will be introduced as a dedicated IP FAST channel. Focusing on the popular telenovela Piel Salvaje, the channel will offer content in both Portuguese and Spanish.
“Our channels have been part of LG Channels in Europe since 2023, so we’re excited to now bring them to new global audiences in MENA, Asia, and Latin America,” said Iza Piotrowska, Global Business Development Director at wedotv. “One of wedotv’s key strengths is the ability to localize and even create new channels for specific markets.”
In addition to the FAST channel distribution, wedotv is expanding its presence on LG Gallery+, LG’s premium subscription-based visual curation platform. Content from wedotv’s time2Rlx channel has been added to Gallery+, offering 4K relaxation visuals—including scenic landscapes, calming ocean waves, and urban panoramas—paired with ambient soundtracks or soft music. This feature is now available to LG Gallery+ users in South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and throughout Europe.
