Virgin Media refreshes bundles with built-in Netflix access

0

Virgin Media, jointly owned by Liberty Global and Telefónica, has overhauled its broadband and TV packages in the UK, introducing Netflix as a standard feature across a wide range of bundles.

Customers can now choose from five simplified TV plans, all including HD access to Sky’s premium channels and starting with M250 broadband (250 Mbps) as the entry-level speed. The company’s higher-tier broadband plans — M500, Gig1, and Gig2 — now include Netflix Standard with Ads at no additional cost, making Virgin Media the only UK broadband-only provider to offer Netflix in the package price.

Other updates include Sky Sports in HD at no extra charge and reduced rates on Talk Anytime and Weekend Chatter phone options. Customers can still opt for Volt bundles, which combine Virgin Media and O2 services.

Chief Commercial Officer Christian Hindennach said the refresh reflects Virgin Media’s commitment to delivering both “the best connectivity and content in one place,” offering more value as streaming and traditional TV continue to converge.
